Winter Garden's downtown is a picture of small-town Florida: a brick main street with a trail running right down the middle, a restored theatre, and a weekly market that draws people from across the region.
Beyond downtown, the city has grown quickly, with newer communities, shopping, and parks spreading out toward the west.
Housing & everyday amenities
Choices include historic homes near downtown, established subdivisions, and a large number of newer master-planned communities, many with amenities and HOAs. Newer construction is common, so understanding builder contracts and inspections is especially valuable.
Getting to work
Winter Garden is on the west side of the metro, with the SR 429 and SR 408 toll roads connecting toward the tourism corridor, downtown Orlando, and Apopka. Commutes to Seminole County or the airport can be long, so it's wise to test-drive the drive at the hours you'd actually travel.
